The examination is conducted for admission into post graduate management programmes. Syllabus and examination pattern:

The XAT examination is considered to be one of the toughest MBA entrance examinations not only because of the level of competition but also because of the ever changingexamination pattern. However the pattern changes a little bit from the previous year’s pattern but that is enough to rattle even the toughest of the students. So prepare accordingly and prepare well.
• The main XAT exam is for 2 hours
• Followed by a 20 minutes essay writing test on any one topic.
• 1 mark for each correct answer
• Minus 1/3rd marking for the first 5 wrong questions in each section
• ½ for errors beyond 5 mistakes

The XAT paper can be divided into:
• English
• Reasoning & Quantitative Aptitude
• General Awareness

MAT or management aptitude test is conducted by AIMA which stands for All India Management Association. MAT is conducted 4 times in a year and months of the MAT exams are also fixed.
