The popular careers for all students in India can be said to boil down to just three. All young people in India either want to become doctors, engineers or get into the Indian Administrative Services. Of these, the medical profession seems to attract more people since it has been glamorized by the television serials showing doctors and the hospital life. If a student does well in 10+2, and cracks the medical entrance exam, he or she just has a one point agenda, to get into the top medical colleges in the country.
