Ways To Remove Negative Thoughts

Ways To Remove Negative Thoughts

What are negative thoughts and if I at any time should I be affected with pessimistic thinking should I be concerned. Yes is the answer. The more positive you are in thought will certainly help dampen any off-putting hold me back negatives which restrict you from living a decent life, Negative thinking has seen man or woman, who, ideal for a job post lose it before having had chance to secure it, because they believed they were not worthy enough.

Any negative thoughts you have about your self have to be dealt with sooner than later for health and happiness to prevail and more importantly prosper. Negative thinking can affect a relationship.

Cognitive restructuring can help a person identify and challenge overly simplistic, negative thoughts that cause pointless distress. Not a healthy combination, negativity and stress, in fact both very destructive factors. To lead what one would call a normal life will entail you change your way of thinking. What is a normal, normal is having belief in your self which in return will help you to venture forth and cope with the wicked ways of the world and the people in it? To help cure your way of thinking is easier when the thoughts are clearly untrue: e.g. “I never do anything right,” It’s harder when there’s an element of truth mixed in with naive lies: “At my age, it’s to late its over; there is nothing out there for me now.” You can stop there right now; the pope is proof, candidates for this position – 65 years and over. If you have a dream or goals then do something about it

There are four elements you can follow to prevent stress caused from negative thoughts:

1.Stop and take time out to think positive (mental time-out).

2.Control your breathing. Breathe in taking deep breaths slowly to help release growing tension.

3. It may sound silly but ask yourself some questions.

.... like is my thoughts belief or true? Do I make hasty decisions about myself? What evidence do I actually have that I am worthy of the cause? Am I letting negative thoughts stand in my way? Look at situations and view them in a different manner. What would be the worst that could happen? Some people find the healing process (managing thoughts) all too much and opt for the easy way out continuing to put them self down and worse still permitting others to follow suit. Ask yourself that if I did not think this way where would you be.

4. If distortion is the root of the problem, can you identify this and let go?

Practicing relaxation techniques may well be the course of therapy needed. If your problem is genuine, ask what steps you can take to manage? It takes much rehearsal to restructure negative thoughts. What is that saying “A leopard never changes its spots” I beg to differ, if you want something badly and that something can change your life for the better then may the leopard shed his coat?

Remember to be yourself, do not snub reality or take on a false identity. Regularly it’s possible to move your focus toward the positive, rather than lodging on the negative. At other times, you can acknowledge an agonizing truth without losing sight of the larger, more positive portrait. For example, “I should be practicing a relaxation response system daily” or better still “I “want” to practice a relaxation response system daily. If you feel sick don’t let the illness get your sympathy vote, feeling sorry for yourself is not a cure. Negative thoughts usually result in “I feel sick today and there is nothing I can do, hold up, of course there is. Think of what is the best way to treat your condition. Think of the available medications to relieve the pain. If negative thoughts are deeply inset, then you must speak to your doctor or an experienced mental health expert. More people are turning to therapies which include dealing with the mind and body and are bouncing back to reality. Put the bounce back in your stride as you jolly your way onto a new way of thinking.

10 Deadly Sins of Negative Thinking

10 Deadly Sins of Negative Thinking

The way to overcome negative thoughts and destructive emotions is to develop opposing, positive emotions that are stronger and more powerful. - Dalai Lama
Life could be so much better for many people, if they would just spot their negative thinking habits and replace them with positive ones.
Negative thinking, in all its many-splendored forms, has a way of creeping into conversations and our thinking without our noticing them. The key to success, in my humble opinion, is learning to spot these thoughts and squash them like little bugs. Then replace them with positive ones. Youll notice a huge difference in everything you do.
Lets take a look at 10 common ways that negative thinking emerges” get good at spotting these patterns, and practice replacing them with positive thinking patterns. It has made all the difference in the world for me.
10 Deadly Sins of Negative Thinking
1. I will be happy once I have _____ (or once I earn X).
Problem: If you think you can be happy until you reach a certain point, or until you reach a certain income, or have a certain type of house or car or computer setup, youll never be happy. That elusive goal is always just out of reach. Once we reach those goals, we are not satisfied” we want more.
Solution: Learn to be happy with what you have, where you are, and who you are, right at this moment. Happiness doesn have to be some state that we want to get to eventually” it can be found right now. Learn to count your blessings, and see the positive in your situation. This might sound simplistic, but it works.

2. I wish I were as ____ as (a celebrity, friend, co-worker).
Problem: Well never be as pretty, as talented, as rich, as sculpted, as cool, as everyone else. There will always be someone better, if you look hard enough. Therefore, if we compare ourselves to others like this, we will always pale, and will always fail, and will always feel bad about ourselves. This is no way to be happy.
Solution: Stop comparing yourself to others, and look instead at yourself” what are your strengths, your accomplishments, your successes, however small? What do you love about yourself? Learn to love who you are, right now, not who you want to become. There is good in each of us, love in each of us, and a wonderful human spirit in every one of us.
3. Seeing others becoming successful makes me jealous and resentful.
Problem: First, this assumes that only a small number of people can be successful. In truth, many, many people can be successful” in different ways.
Solution: Learn to admire the success of others, and learn from it, and be happy for them, by empathizing with them and understanding what it must be like to be them. And then turn away from them, and look at yourself” you can be successful too, in whatever you choose to do. And even more, you already are successful. Look not at those above you in the social ladder, but those below you” there are always millions of people worse off than you, people who couldn even read this article or afford a computer. In that light, you are a huge success.
4. I am a miserable failure” I can seem to do anything right.
Problem: Everyone is a failure, if you look at it in certain ways. Everyone has failed, many times, at different things. I have certainly failed so many times I cannot count them” and I continue to fail, daily. However, looking at your failures as failures only makes you feel bad about yourself. By thinking in this way, we will have a negative self-image and never move on from here.
Solution: See your successes and ignore your failures. Look back on your life, in the last month, or year, or 5 years. And try to remember your successes. If you have trouble with this, start documenting them” keep a success journal, either in a notebook or online. Document your success each day, or each week. When you look back at what youve accomplished, over a year, you will be amazed. Its an incredibly positive feeling.
5. Im going to beat so-and-so no matter what” Im better than him. And theres no way Ill help him succeed” he might beat me.

Problem: Competitiveness assumes that there is a small amount of gold to be had, and I need to get it before he does. It makes us into greedy, back-stabbing, hurtful people. We try to claw our way over people to get to success, because of our competitive feelings. For example, if a blogger wants to have more subscribers than another blogger, he may never link to or mention that other blogger. However, who is to say that my subscribers can also be yours? People can read and subscribe to more than one blog.
Solution: Learn to see success as something that can be shared, and learn that if we help each other out, we can each have a better chance to be successful. Two people working towards a common goal are better than two people trying to beat each other up to get to that goal. There is more than enough success to go around. Learn to think in terms of abundance rather than scarcity.
6. Dammit! Why do these bad things always happen to me?
Problem: Bad things happen to everybody. If we dwell on them, they will frustrate us and bring us down.
Solution: See bad things as a part of the ebb and flow of life. Suffering is a part of the human condition” but it passes. All pain goes away, eventually. Meanwhile, don let it hold you back. Don dwell on bad things, but look forward towards something good in your future. And learn to take the bad things in stride, and learn from them. Bad things are actually opportunities to grow and learn and get stronger, in disguise.
7. You can do anything right.! Why can you be like ____ ?
Problem: This can be said to your child or your subordinate or your sibling. The problem? Comparing two people, first of all, is always a fallacy. People are different, with different ways of doing things, different strengths and weaknesses, different human characteristics. If we were all the same, wed be robots. Second, saying negative things like this to another person never helps the situation. It might make you feel better, and more powerful, but in truth, it hurts your relationship, it will actually make you feel negative, and it will certainly make the other person feel negative and more likely to continue negative behavior. Everyone loses.
Solution: Take the mistakes or bad behavior of others as an opportunity to teach. Show them how to do something. Second, praise them for their positive behavior, and encourage their success. Last, and most important, love them for who they are, and celebrate their differences.
8. Your work sucks. Its super lame. You are a moron and I hope you never reproduce.
Problem: Ive actually gotten this comment before. It feels wonderful. However, lets look at it not from the perspective of the person receiving this kind of comment but from the perspective of the person giving it. How does saying something negative like this help you? I guess it might feel good to vent if you feel like your time has been wasted. But really, how much of your time has been wasted? A few minutes? And whose fault is that? The bloggers or yours? In truth, making negative comments just keeps you in a negative mindset. Its also not a good way to make friends.
Solution: Learn to offer constructive solutions, first of all. Instead of telling someone their blog sucks, or that a post is lame, offer some specific suggestions for improvement. Help them get better. If you are going to take the time to make a comment, make it worth your time. Second, learn to interact with people in a more positive way” it makes others feel good and it makes you feel better about yourself. And you can make some great friends this way. Thats a good thing.
9. Insulting People Back

Problem: If someone insults you or angers you in some way, insulting them back and continuing your anger only transfers their problem to you. This person was probably having a bad day (or a bad year) and took it out on you for some reason. If you reciprocate, you are now having a bad day too. His problem has become yours. Not only that, but the cycle of insults can get worse and worse until it results in violence or other negative consequences” for both of you.
Solution: Let the insults or negative comments of others slide off you like Teflon. Don let their problem become yours. In fact, try to understand their problem more” why would someone say something like that? What problems are they going through? Having a little empathy for someone not only makes you understand that their comment is not about you, but it can make you feel and act in a positive manner towards them” and make you feel better about yourself in the process.
10. I don think I can do this” I don have enough discipline. Maybe some other time.
Problem: If you don think you can do something, you probably won. Especially for the big stuff. Discipline has nothing to do with it” motivation and focus has everything to do with it. And if you put stuff off forœsome other time, youll never get it done. Negative thinking like this inhibits us from accomplishing anything.Link
Solution: Turn your thinking around: you can do this! You don need discipline. Find ways to make yourself a success at your goal. If you fail, learn from your mistakes, and try again. Instead of putting a goal off for later, start now. And focus on one goal at a time, putting all of your energy into it, and getting as much help from others as you can. You can really move mountains if you start with positive thinking.

How to Start Dating Your Husband or Wife Again

How to Start Dating Your Husband or Wife Again

It's never too late to start dating your husband or wife. Most married people will tell you that "dating" becomes harder to do with each child that comes along. Even those few couples who manage to fit in a date once in a while can feel like they are not getting enough "couple" time.

Step 1

To start dating your husband or wife is simple. Just do it. Once you decide to do it, plan something special. It doesn't have to cost money to date your husband or wife. You can call the grandparents and see if your children could spend the night there. Once they are out of the house, it's time to set your plan in motion.

Step 2

You can fix a quiet dinner for two (make it your husband/wife's favorite meal). Make it romantic with lots of scented candles, a nice table cloth, cloth napkins, fancy dishes and even some silk flowers. You don't have to make it fancy if you don't have the fancy tablecloth and napkins. Pizza on paper plates can be romantic if it's the first time you've had "couple" time since the kid's were born. You can rent a movie or retire early Wink

Step 3

If you chose to go out, you can do the old stand by; movie and dinner. Just chose a movie that you both can enjoy so the mood isn't killed for after the movie. Again see if a friend or family member you trust can watch the children for you.

Step 4

You can plan a nice picnic for two. Find an empty field where you can go even if it gets dark (the park would work if you want to be done by dusk). Once the sun goes down and the stars come out, lay back on your blanket and look at the stars. Talk about where you both see your future. Reconnect and share your new dreams and hopes. For this one night, there are no kids, it's just the two of you.

Step 5

You can plan some dancing. If you stay home and cook, push the furniture around to open up an area for dancing. Play soft music and hold the one you love in your arms. You don't have to be Fred Astaire or Ginger Rogers to sway to music while in the arms of someone you love. If you go to dinner and a movie, when you get home, turn on some music and dance. If you go to a field, bring a radio. Play some music and dance in the field. No one's watching.

Step 6

You don't need flowers and candy to celebrate your love. Use that money (what you would have spent on flowers and candy) to do something together. If you want to do flowers and candy, make sure the one you're buying for wants flowers and candy.

Nearly everyone has experienced a relationship breakup or divorce and it can be one of the most painful periods in your life as you try to heal your broken heart. What we have discovered in our relationship coaching practice, many breakups don't have to happen.
So, if breakups don't have to occur, what cases them and how can you prevent them?
Here are four ideas to help you better understand why breakups happen and what you can do to prevent them in your relationship.
1. Old Fears Surface.
It's to be expected that being in an intimate relationship will inevitable bring up fears and challenges from the past. These might include fearing not being good enough, attractive enough, wealthy enough or even feelings of abandonment. If fears are not expected, looked at and healed, they interfere in some way or another with the health of every relationship. Take some time to notice when the fears surface, be loving with
yourself but look inward instead of outward blaming your partner for what clearly is your issue.

Ask yourself if your fears are "true" or are you just making "stories" up in your head. If you are creating those "stories" and there's no basis of truth to them, then change your thinking. It's not always easy to do and it takes moment by moment monitoring of your
thoughts. If you need help and support to make the changes you want in your life, be courageous enough to get it.
You may not have healed your broken heart from past relationships that ended and you find it very difficult to trust your current partner or open your heart completely to him or her. We suggest that you stop living from the hurt of those past relationships and bring yourself into the present moment, without continuing the "stories" of the past. Commit to starting over, allowing your fears to be there but reminding yourself that this is a new day.

2. Not Feeling Understood, Valued, Loved and Appreciated.

Everyone wants to feel understood, valued, loved and appreciated and when we're not, we tend to either withdraw or attack the other person for not meeting our needs. If you want to be appreciated, start appreciating the other people in your life. Sounds simplistic but it really works!

If you are not feeling loved, start being open to seeing and feeling love and appreciation that people are giving you that you may not be aware of in your daily life. It may be that someone allows you to go ahead of them in traffic or tells you to go ahead in a grocery line. Send some appreciation back to them and to everyone around you and watch love snowball in your life.

3. Not Making their Relationship a Priority.

Many couples take each other for granted and don't give their relationship the attention it needs most of the time. The lack of closeness and connection can be overwhelming and can cause great loneliness. Make your relationship a priority in your life. Set aside time everyday to connect with your partner.

We believe that sex happens long before the bedroom. It starts all day long when you have thoughts about your partner--Are these thoughts positive or negative? It continues when you come together--Are you happy to see each other and express love and appreciation or do you great each other with a laundry list of chores, things to be done or grievances?

These are just a couple of ways we make our relationship a priority. Try them in yours!

4. One or Both People are Made to Feel They are "Wrong."

One of the biggest mistakes people make is that they make each other wrong. As soon as critical words are said, defenses and walls go up and suddenly that person who you love and they love you becomes an "enemy."

Before you jump into blaming and judging your partner, stop and take a moment to breathe. Ask yourself if making your partner wrong will drive you further apart or move you closer toward healing. Open your heart to understanding the dynamics of what's going on between the two of you. Understand the full story before you start making someone wrong. So often we assume to know what is in someone's heart and we really don't. Take the time to find out!
5. Not healing your heart after a previous relationship breakup

Many people go from relationship to relationship without truly healing their hearts. They never discover what went wrong in their previous relationship and what they could have done differently. They keep repeating the same mistakes over and over again and always expect a different outcome.a
