Top History Programs

A total of four US institutions are ranked equal top for their history programs in the nation: Princeton, Stanford, UC Berkeley and Yale.

The Department of History at Yale (http://www.yale.edu/history/gradprogram.html) offers the degrees of Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Philosophy, and Master of Arts. The department also offers, in conjunction with African American Studies, a combined Ph.D. in History and African American Studies.
