How To Prepare For IITJEE 2009

IIT, the most reputed institute in India for engineering.IIT is the dream of every student whose aim is to become an engineer. IIT is responsible for producing some of the best engineers who are demanded all over the world. As the reputation of IIT says itself that its entrance exam is one of the toughest engineering entrance exam in India. With IIT you can expect yourself life to be somewhat safe in terms of career. Here are some tips which may help you getting through the one of the toughest examination in India:-


• 11th and 12th syllabus

IIT entrance examination syllabus consists of physics, chemistry and maths from the CBSE 11th and 12th syllabus. In order to crack IIT-JEE the basic concepts of PCM from 11th and 12th should be clear.

• Work on all three subjects

IIT-JEE consists of three sections i.e. physics, chemistry and maths. IIT demands students to perform in every section. There is sectional cut off and the candidate has to perform in every section and no section can be left untouched even though you have attempted other two sections brilliantly. So, study all three subjects and get your basics right about the subjects.

• Get to know the JEE examination pattern

IIT examination basically consists of problem solving questions which covers the major portion of the exam.
This does not mean that the students only emphasize on solving questions. But the approach should be such that the students work on fundamentals of the subjects. Once the basics and fundamentals are clear, the student can attempt any level of question.

• Learn scanning the paper

IIT-JEE consists of such questions that no one can attempt the complete the paper. So, one of the most important tip to get a good rank in IIT-JEE is to learn how to scan the question paper. Once you have the question paper in hand you should spend 5 mins over the paper and to select questions which are from the areas of your interest or which you think are easy and attemptable and also for which you have the confidence that you can attempt these questions quickly. Rather than going systematically while attempting the paper you should scan the paper first because getting right a difficult or an easy question fetch you the same amount of marks. So, it advisable to select and attempt easy questions.
