Miller Analogies Test (MAT) Test Information Sheet

FORMAT: Paper and Pencil.
FEE: $85.00 cash or check, paid at the time of testing. Credit cards are NOT accepted.
REGISTRATION: PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED by calling 543-1171 or in-person in Schmitz Hall Rm. 440. Register approximately two weeks in advance of the desired test date. Space is limited.
SCORES: Results from the test are mailed to the examinee as well as the examinee's institutions in approximately three weeks after the test date.
STUDY In Schmitz 440, you may pick-up a Candidate Information Booklet, published by Harcourt Assessment which creates and scores the MAT. If you are unable to pick-up a booklet before the day of the test, they will be available before the examination. The booklet contains 50 sample questions, although there are 120 questions on the actual examination. In addition, there are study guides and test preparation guides for the MAT at many bookstores.
ON THE DAY OF THE TEST: The examinee must bring picture identification, a second ID (preferably a Social Security Card), #2 pencils, and the testing fee of $85.00. If you are retesting within one year of your most recent test date, you will need to present a Retest Admission Ticket.

If you arrive after the scheduled check-in time, or if you arrive without photo identification, you will not be admitted to the examination.

No aids are permitted during the test. You may not bring dictionaries, books, scratch paper, calculators, or notebooks with you on the day of the test.

RETESTS: Examinees may retest. Once the examinee receives the Retest Admission Ticket included with the score report, the examinee may take the next available test. If you have taken the MAT within the past 12 months, you will not be allowed to retest without your Retest Admission Ticket.
